Have you recently gotten some cuts and bruises? Looking for the correct place to treat your wounds? Well, then it’s important to know the difference between a walk in clinic and an urgent care.
These are both great places to go if you need basic health needs. The big difference is the type of service you can reliably receive.
A walk in clinic has no doctors. Most of the staff there will be registered nurses, but you won’t find any big machines or fancy devices. Mostly a walk in clinic is made to treat illnesses, fevers, and colds. An urgent care will have registered doctors in the facilities. So the way to look at it is in steps really. If you are feeling a bit under the weather but need to get into work and need serious medication prescribed, then a walk in clinic might be perfect. If you find though that you have maybe a minor burn, or need some stitches somewhere on your body, then an urgent care is more well suited to assist in that.
